Green Cay Beach at Tamarind Reef Resort

Located on the northeast shore of St Croix, US Virgin Islands, Green Cay beach is a beautiful white sandy beach lined with coconut palms. There is a gentle slope from the Tamarind Reef Resort to the beach area. The shoreline is rocky and made up of natural tidal pools except for a small area at the east end of the beach allowing for bathing entry.

The beach is known for its tranquil setting, mix of sun and shade and child-friendly wading area. Thatched sun huts and Hammocks for relaxing. There’s also an excellent snorkeling reef a few feet offshore that runs parallel to the beach – equipped with resting buoys for your convenience.

Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkeling gear are provided to resort guests, free of charge.

The waters are generally calm with minimal tides elevating 1 to 2 feet.

No lifeguard on duty, however, life rings are available at either end of the beach and first aid kit is available at the beach hut during the day and hotel security in the evenings.
